About Me

Logan-Alexandra Russell is a senior journalism major, with an emphasis in Political Science, at Hampton University. She is the 2024-2025 President of the University’s National Association of Black Journalists chapter and Founder/CEO of Mocha Princess Media, LLC.
Russell’s natural gift for gab has led to prominent roles on campus, including serving as a main anchor for WHOV-TV, a reporter for Saber Sports (a partnership with the University and local television station WTKR- News 3), and as a lead journalist in a campus cohort with the investigative news organization Mother Jones Magazine. She was chosen to represent the University at the Biden School of Public Policy & Administration on the topic – “Confronting Anti-Intellectualism Through Civil Discourse”, served on a panel with Starbucks’ executives to discuss the value of historically-black colleges and universities, conducted a Q&A session with journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones of the 1619 Projecting, and emceed the Hampton University 2023 Homecoming parade.
Professionally, she has interned for 13News Now, WVEC-TV, an ABC-Affiliate in Norfolk, VA, and WTMJ-TV, as the Morning Blend Intern in Milwaukee, WI. Currently, she is a Marketing and Media Relations Intern in Hampton’s University Relations department.
More recently, Ms. Russell was selected as a Hampton Ambassador for the SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios Storytellers Lab Program -- Paramount's nine-month mentoring program designed to prepare and empower future leaders in entertainment.
